How many meals should I eat each day?

How many meals should I eat each day?

This question has no definitive answer. Depends on who you ask and if there is any medical condition involved. We will see a few different ways you can decide on the number of meals you would like to consume each day.

Most experts recommend 5-6 small meals a day. There are several reasons for this. Your body can more efficiently digest small amounts of food at regular intervals rather than large amounts less often aliments. There are less chances of you getting hungry, if you eat every 3 hours. Following this meal plan is also going to keep your levels of blood sugar even more than having to digest large amounts of food.

Some people may opt for three meals and 2-3 snacks per day and this method is more or less the same. You can not eat the same amount of calories every time you eat, but they are still eating something every three hours. Personally, I prefer to eat several times a day. If I go too long between meals, I will be very hungry and have a tendency to overeat foods or make unwise decisions.

The other alternative is the plan recommended by Over-eaters Anonymous. This plan includes three meals and one snack per day, as needed. The reason for this is because most OA members are considered binge eaters and face less often deal with food, the less likely you are to overeat. But this program is not stone for its members. It is simply a guide. It is suggested that you meet with a nutritionist and a food sponsor to select a meal plan that works best for them.

So, as you can see, there is no right of wrong way to select the number of foods you should eat daily. The Fat Smash Diet recommended 4-5 daily meals. As you progress through your chosen program of weight loss, you begin to see what will work best for you and the lifestyle you live.
